No. The Boehringer Ingelheim Prize is exclusively aimed at researchers working in the biological, chemical or medical basic research.

Yes. Under the 8-year rule following the doctorate, female researchers are credited with 1.5 years per child as standard (or longer if documented). Male researchers may only claim documented childcare periods.

In such cases, you are obliged to inform the foundation in advance. As a rule, the remaining funds can be transferred to the new institution within Germany.

The approved funds are tied to the originally submitted and reviewed project. In the event of substantial changes, you must inform the foundation and seek approval.
