Symposium and Award Ceremony.

Each autumn, the Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung hosts a scientific symposium in Munich, held alongside the Heinrich Wieland Prize award ceremony. This event honours the laureate for their groundbreaking achievements.

The Heinrich Wieland Prize symposium brings together internationally leading scientists from around the world with promising young researchers. It fosters intergenerational exchange, creates opportunities for mentorship and networking, and inspires emerging talents to pursue their curiosity and passion - driving the scientific breakthroughs of tomorrow.

The next symposium will take place on 5 November 2026. Registration will open when the foundation announces the laureate and speakers in the summer.
